Dan Gerdes

Prior to August 2021, Dr. Gerdes was the Graduate Program Director of the Sport Management program while serving on the faculty at the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg. With a Ph.D. in Sport Psychology, Dan also does applied mental excellence and coaching programs for athletics and business groups.

Dan and his wife Karen have three boys and reside in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to this move in August 2021, they lived in Lee's Summit, MO and were members of Abundant Life Church in Lee's Summit. Dan was actively co-leading an adult Sunday group and a weekly men's group.

Dan received his Ph.D. in Sport Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1994 and he utilizes this degree as a college professor at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. Dan is the author of two books, "Coaching for Character" and "Through the Storm." Dan played college basketball and received his undergraduate degree from Wartburg College in Iowa. He received his masters from the University of Northern Iowa.
